17-year-old Thompson, who is a Manor ISD student, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He could face more charges pending further investigation.
A witness stated Thompson and 18-year-old Keshawn Dixon “pulled out guns and started shooting” after confronting each other. Dixon allegedly used a gun with a machine gun conversion device and lost control of the weapon.
Police say the two women killed in the shooting, Ara Duke and Lyndsey Vicknair, were innocent bystanders. However, it remains unclear who shot them. The other injured victims’ ages range from 10 to 62 years old.
Thompson, who allegedly admitted to firing three shots at another person during the event, was arrested on June 20 in Pflugerville. A second suspect was arrested June 21, but little is known about his role in the shooting. Dixon was then arrested July 6.
