
ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. (WECT) – Organizers have released the schedule for the Juneteenth Celebration happening next month in Elizabethtown.
The events will take place from June 18-22.
- June 18: Mt. Olive Community Juneteenth Celebration meet & greet vendor setup
- June 19: Mt. Olive Community Juneteenth Celebration fireworks extravaganza
- June 20: Mt. Olive Community Juneteenth Celebration Farmers’ Day & Catch A Pig
- June 21: Mt. Olive Community Juneteenth Celebration Parade and evening Hideaway Festivities
- Line-up will begin at 9 a.m. at 805 W Broad St. The parade will begin at 11 a.m., with participants heading down W King Street.
- There will be colorful floats, marching bands, and more.
- June 22: Mt. Olive Community Juneteenth Celebration The Cornhole Championship
“We are excited to continue this tradition and bring the community together to honor this important milestone in our nation’s history,” said Commissioner Arthur Bullock. “It’s an event to celebrate freedom and unity while also reflecting on the progress still to be made.
