BOYCE, La. (KALB) – The Town of Boyce is celebrating Juneteenth in a different way this year.
The town wants the festivities to stand out, so they are going to decorate the area with bright Christmas lights. This is unique for Boyce and has not been done by any other town.
“We want this special celebration to make people more aware and bring us all together as a community. It’s important for everyone, no matter their background, to understand and appreciate our country’s history,” said Stephan Fontenot, Community Relations.
