Juneteenth Pickleball Tournament hosted by City of Meridian

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – The Juneteenth Heritage Festival was filled with several activities, including the pickleball tournament.

The City of Meridian hosted a Juneteenth Pickleball Tournament Saturday morning at the Sammie Davidson complex.

Members of the community were required to sign up to play beforehand in order to participate in the tournament and be eligible for the prize.

There were multiple 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes that equaled up to $1,000.

The winners for the mixed double teams included the following:

1st Place Cash Prize: $250.00

1st Place Winner One: CHAD GREER $125.00

1st Place Winner Two: TIFFANY TINGLE $125.00

2nd Place Cash Prize: $150.00

2nd Place Winner One: CJ JORDAN $75.00

2nd Place Winner Two: LAPORSHA $75.00

3rd Place Cash Prize: $100.00

3rd Place Winner One: JOHN EDWARDS $50.00

3rd Place Winner Two: GERALDINE BOSTON $50.00

The winners for the men’s double teams included the following:

1st Place Cash Prize: $250.00

1st Place Winner One: ASAD KHAN $125.00

1st Place Winner Two: MICHAEL VAN VECKHOVEN $125.00

2nd Place Cash Prize: $150.00

2nd Place Winner One: ERIC FERRY $75.00
