ROUND ROCK, Texas — Four more suspects have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at Round Rock’s Juneteenth celebration last year at Old Settlers Park.

Two women were killed in the shooting on June 15, 2024, and 14 others were injured.

The four arrests are in addition to three others who were previously arrested over the shooting last year.

The new arrests include 18-year-old Terrell Hatch, 20-year-old Payton Green, 18-year-old Terren Jackson and 17-year-old Amarjai Terry. The three arrested last year include 17-year-old Ricky Thompson, 19-year-old Keshawn Dixon and a juvenile suspect whose name was withheld due to age.

According to the Round Rock Police Department, all four suspects were located and arrested on Monday by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. They are currently being held at the Williamson County Jail and face charges of engaging in organized criminal activity with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, a first-degree felony.

Police said the incident began when two groups of people started fighting with each other near the vendor area of the festival. At least one person then pulled a gun out and started shooting before leaving the scene.

The two women, Ara Duke and Lyndsey Vicknair, were both innocent bystanders in the shooting, according to police. The injured victims’ ages range from 10 to 62 years old.

“The Round Rock Police Department remains committed to bringing justice to the victims and their families,” the department said on Monday. “We thank the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force for their continued support and partnership in this investigation.”
