
OKMULGEE, OKLA (KTUL) — Okmulgee will host its first-ever Juneteenth Celebration in the Downtown Square.
The Juneteenth Community Celebration will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12.
A Vendor Market will open at 2:00 p.m., followed by a parade and entertainment showcase at 6:30 p.m.
Performances will include Saxophonist Meech Bagby and Bobby Moffett Jr.’s Music Group.
“We are excited to bring the community together to honor freedom and culture in such a powerful way,” said organizer Tonya Bowie. “This is a celebration for everyone — and we want all of Okmulgee, Tulsa, Oklahoma to be a part of it!”
