🚨 You need to know
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center is teaming up with Butler Basketball for a 3×3 Tournament and Backyard BBQ on Juneteenth, June 19, in Newport.
This free event, backed by People’s Credit Union, welcomes 5th to 12th graders from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The tournament will feature 128 kids in teams of four, grouped by grade level. Along with the basketball games, participants can enjoy a BBQ and music from a DJ.
As a sweet finish, Ben & Jerry’s will serve ice cream during the last two hours.
While there’s no cost to join, registration is needed. Kids can sign up at https://mlkccenter.org/mlk-butler-basketball-3×3-tournament/.
