City of Guthrie and City of Midwest City will host events to celebrate Juneteenth on Saturday, June 14. In Guthrie, their celebration will take place at Mineral Wells Park from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.Vendors, food trucks, music, and other activities will be available. Community members will be honored during this event. In Midwest City, its Juneteenth celebration will be held at Joe B. Barnes Regional Park from 3 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.Attendees can enjoy music, food, rides, and much more. The theme for this year’s festival is “building community.” According to organizers, you must arrive at 3 p.m. in order to get a ticket for a free fish plate. This is for the first 200 festival guests.
