AMHERST — A selection of short films from the American Black Film Festival will be screened at the Amherst Cinema in celebration of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth — a national holiday commemorating the end of slavery on June 19, 1865 — is a time to recognize Black culture and heritage. For 29 years, the American Black Film Festival has been aiming to do just that by bringing together Black entertainment executives, directors and content creators from across the globe.
