Vance County held its 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on June 22 along Church Street. Performers provided entertainment while nonprofit agencies, food vendors and small businesses showcased their products and services for the community. The event was presented by the Henderson-Vance Recreation & Parks Department. Assistant director Shantel Hargrove was the lead organizer. Rep. Don Davis stands with a few folks during the celebration.
