WithLove OKC is hosting the fifth annual Juneteenth on the East.

The three-day event is focused on the cultural celebration of Black freedom, creativity, wellness, and community.

“Juneteenth on the East isn’t just a festival—it’s a movement,” said Jabee Williams, founder of WithLove OKC. “We started this to bring joy, healing, and opportunity to our community, and five years later, we’re still growing, still celebrating, and still fighting for liberation in creative and beautiful ways.”

The festivities include a Creativity and Culture Night, a 5K run or walk, and a music festival complete with vendors, food trucks, a kids’ zone with art and activities, and a live community mural.

On Thursday, June 19, fashion designer April Walker will be featured on a panel with local designers and fashion leaders. The event kicks off with the panel at 6:00 p.m., followed by a fashion show at 7:00 p.m. and an after-party and meet and greet with April Walker at 8:00 p.m.

Guests are also invited to a happy hour at 4:00 p.m. before the panel. All Thursday events will be held at Innovation Hall

The 5K, in partnership with Red Coyote, begins at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, in Northeast OKC.

The weekend closes out on Saturday, June 21, with the Juneteenth on the East Festival.

Held on Northeast 23rd Street between Hood & Kellham, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the concert will showcase local talents as well as a performance by Grammy-nominated rapper BIG K.R.I.T.

All events are free and open to the public.
