  • Chesapeake, Hampton, James City County, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, York County: Closed Wednesday

Garbage

  • Virginia Beach: Wednesday’s collections are being picked up Monday, June 17.
  • Chesapeake: No collections Wednesday, all collections will be delayed one day.
  • Hampton, James City County, Norfolk, Newport News, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Williamsburg, York County: No collection changes Wednesday

Travel

  • Hampton Roads Transit: On Wednesday, all fixed route services (bus, light rail, ferry) and paratransit will be free. Bus and light rail services will operate on a Saturday schedule. The ferry will operate on its regular weekday schedule.

Mail

  • Post offices will be closed Wednesday with no regular mail delivery.
