Here’s what’s happening during Valdosta’s 33rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – The Southside Library Boosters, Inc. announced the list of events in the 33rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Valdosta.

All events are free and open to the public.

Tuesday, June 17

People are encouraged to support Black-owned businesses to kick off the Juneteenth celebration.

Thursday, June 19

People are encouraged to give service to the community. There is a Book Giveaway at McMullen Southside Library, located at 527 Griffin Ave., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Friday, June 20

A Black family reunion, program, and a fish fry will be held at McMullen Southside Library, located at 527 Griffin Ave., at 6 p.m.

Saturday, June 21

The Juneteenth Festival will be held at Payton Park beside the library from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be live music and entertainment, food trucks, and a kids’ fun zone.
