At Cal State San Bernardino, the Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration was staged by the nonprofit group called Love4Us.

The second annual celebration featured music, art, kids’ activities, live performances and vendors. But it also included information about how to get on the path toward a university education.

Juneteenth commemorates the formal end of slavery after the Civil War, when the last enslaved Black people in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom June 19, 1865.

Other Inland events included the Juneteenth Family Festival at Mt. Rubidoux Church in Riverside and the Juneteenth Jam at Rialto’s Fergusson Park.
