CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – The Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Missouri is hosting a Juneteenth Community Event at Arena Park on June 19.
The event is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be games, face painting, free food and drinks, music and more.
The celebration is free and everyone is invited to attend.
According to organizers, the club just kicked off its Cape Summer Camp and felt incorporating Juneteenth into Wednesday’s activities was not only to educate the children about Juneteenth but to give them a way to celebrate the holiday.
