
WACO, Texas (KWTX) – The Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce is organizing a Juneteenth parade in Waco on Saturday, June 15.
Juneteenth, observed annually on June 19, is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. It is also known as Emancipation Day or Juneteenth Independence Day.
The parade in Waco will begin at 10 a.m. at Heritage Square and go down Elm Avenue until it arrives at the historical Paul Quinn Campus. CLICK HERE to learn more.
The parade will feature area food trucks and vendors, including Chefito’s Kitchen, Rolling Smoked BBQ, Cuzzo’s, and Texas Snow.
