Juneteenth parade rolls through downtown Waco ahead of federal holiday

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – The annual Juneteenth parade rolled through downtown Waco on Saturday, June 14, celebrating the federal holiday coming up June 19.

The parade kicked off at Heritage Square, crossed the Washington Avenue Bridge, and ended at the Paul Quinn Campus.

It featured floats from a variety of local companies, organizations and schools.

The Rappaport Academy boys basketball team served as grand marshals for the event.

The Ravens won the Class 2A state championship earlier this year.
