Juneteenth prayer service and celebration to be held in Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) – A Juneteenth prayer service and celebration will be held in Clarksburg tomorrow.

The Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Kelly Miller Community Center and West Virginia Black Heritage Festival, Inc. will be holding the events.

The prayer service will take place at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Clarksburg, and a cookout celebration will be held at the Margaret McCoy Community Garden on Monticello Avenue at 4 p.m.

The organizations invite the community to join them in commemoration of the Juneteenth holiday.
