We welcome today as a seasonal advertiser the United Community Organization and its Juneteenth Freedom Festival. The UCO is planning three days of events from June 19-21, starting with a pageant and ending with a festival and rib cook-off. People who click on the ad will be directed to the UNO website. You can find complete details for vendors, potential cook-off participants, pageant and parade entry forms, the Freedom 5K run-walk, T-shirts and more. We appreciate the chance to help the United Community Organization promote its Juneteenth celebration.

Our new online poll asks readers to rate their mothers on a scale of 1 to 5 – 1 as the best ever, 5 as worst ever. We can only hope there are not many 5s.
