ROUND ROCK, Texas — Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks announced the arrest of four additional suspects in connection with last year’s Juneteenth festival shooting, emphasizing the department’s commitment to leaving no stone unturned.
“Gathered a lot of information, a lot of evidence, did a lot of interviews as a result,” said Banks.
This dedication led to the arrests of Terrell Hatch, Payton Green, Terren Jackson, and Amarjai Terry. The suspects were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.
According to arrest affidavits, there were Instagram posts linking suspects to plans surrounding the shooting last year. Posts included things like “All dem gon die” from Green and a post by Parker saying he was going on a shooting spree. Several other posts after the shooting linked Hatch and Jackson as well
Terry was identified as one of the suspects who approached Ricky Thompson III, attacking him and initially kickstarting the shooting. Thompson was arrested last year and indicted.
“Our job, our goal is and will be to hold these folks accountable for the tragedy of Juneteenth 2024,” said Banks. “They chose to come into our event and cause that chaos.”

“Recognizing that it’s an opportunity for growth, and an opportunity for us to reclaim this celebration,” said Johnson.
The city plans to enhance safety measures with crowd monitoring devices, including SkyWatch towers and drone surveillance. Chief Banks assured, “We will continue to be at these events to try to keep them as safe as we possibly can.”
When asked about the possibility of more arrests, Chief Banks stated that the Round Rock Police Department will continue to tackle the case.
