CLEVELAND, Ohio – With an event-filled weekend ahead, Cleveland police released parking restrictions for those who plan to attend “No Kings” demonstrations and Juneteenth celebrations on Saturday.

The No Kings protests are to be held in opposition of the federal military parade that will be held on Saturday in Washington D.C. The $45 million event will be held on President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.

The stated goal of the No Kings demonstrations is to demand democracy and reject authoritarianism. Many demonstrations are slated to be held across the country, including some in Northeast Ohio that will take place in Cleveland, Akron, Chardon, Chagrin Falls and other locations.

Demonstrations in Cleveland will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Participants will rally and march at Public Square. A second one will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at East Ninth Street and Lakeside Avenue.

Cleveland authorities encourage attendees to peacefully demonstrate without disrupting public order.

“We ask that all demonstrators remain orderly, respectful of public spaces, and follow all applicable laws,” the Cleveland Division of Police said in a statement.

Additionally, there will be many Juneteenth celebrations in the city that will take place over the weekend. The holiday is observed on June 19.

For safety purposes, police recommend all visitors walk on the sidewalks and obey all traffic laws and signals.

Parking restrictions for the weekend go into effect at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 14, and will end at 4 a.m. Sunday. Police ask visitors to be aware of signs and parking meters. Any vehicles in violation of the restrictions could be ticketed or towed.

  • E. 12th St., Euclid to Lakeside
  • E. 4th St., Huron to Prospect
  • E. 2nd St., High to Prospect
  • Lakeside Ave., E. 12th St. to W. 9th St.
  • St. Clair Ave., E. 12th St. to W. 9th St.
  • Superior Ave, E. 12th St. to W. 9th St.
  • Rockwell Ave, E. 12th St. to W. 3rd St.
  • Euclid Ave., E. 12th St. to Public Square
