
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Celebrate Black history and taste Indianapolis’ diverse foods with free tickets to the fourth annual Juneteenth Foodways Festival.
The festival honors renowned Black caterer and chef Dolly Johnson, who was the White House head chef during 23rd President Benjamin Harrison’s term. Guests can explore her story with reenactments from Freetown Village.
At this year’s Juneteenth Foodways Festival, more than 30 Black-owned restaurants, caterers and vendors will be featured June 13 at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site.
Early access passes are available for $20 and start at 3:30 p.m. General admission is free and begins at 4:30 p.m.
