Sacred Harp singers to revamp iconic pre-Civil War hymnal: LISTEN
A new edition of “The Sacred Harp,” a pre-Civil War Christian hymnal first published in 1844, is being released this year. It helps carry on the more than 180-year-old shape-note American folk singing tradition that is as much about the music as it is the community.

York City’s Parks and Recreation Bureau is still seeking vendors to participate in the city’s Juneteenth Celebration Saturday, June 21.

York City’s Juneteenth Celebration will be from noon until 3 p.m. at Campus Park, next to Voni Grimes Gym at 125 E. College Ave.
There will be historical information shared at the event as well as free food, food vendors, merchandise vendors, community resources, performances, music, bounce houses and more.
