
ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – You’re invited to join Rochester’s Juneteenth celebration on Saturday.
The Rochester Branch of the NAACP is hosting the event at the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park.
More than 1,500 people are anticipated to attend the gathering. It will feature calls to action, live music, entertainment for all ages and great food.
Juneteenth, which is officially observed on June 19th, is a day to honor the emancipation of slavery in 1865.
55 businesses and vendor will be a part of Saturday’s celebration which takes place from noon until 5 P.M.
