City of Amarillo announces Juneteenth service schedule

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The City of Amarillo (COA) will close some offices in recognition of Juneteenth on Wednesday.

According to the city, the service schedule for Juneteenth includes the following:

City Hall and all Amarillo Public Library locations will be closed.
Amarillo City transit will operate on a Saturday schedule. For more information, click here or call (806)-378-3095.
Amarillo Municipal Court will be closed Wednesday.
Ross Rogers and Comanche Trail Golf Complexes will have normal hours of operation.

The schedule for solid waste services will also change Wednesday, according to COA. The schedule includes the following:

Schedules will not change for residential, polycart, hand collection and roll-off routes.
Wednesday’s commercial routes will be serviced on Thursday, June 20.
Curbside service will not be available Wednesday.
The city landfill and brush sites will be closed Wednesday.
