DUNCAN, Okla. (KSWO) – Charm’n Hands and Charm’n Entertainment hosted an annual Juneteenth celebration at Douglass Park in Duncan on Saturday.
The event featured a bounce castle, games, and splash pad for event goers to cool off from the summer heat in.
Event Organizer Eddie Culberson says that getting to share the story of Juneteenth with other members of the community is why he keeps putting it on every year.
“To me that’s what it’s all about,” Culberson stated. “Because I want the community to come out. I want to see different races, different colors, just different everything coming together as one.”
Local churches also donated food live entertainment performed for event goers.
Culberson mentioned this event gets larger every year and he hopes to see that trend continue.
