The Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami will present Juneteenth Juke Joint at the Ziff Ballet Opera House Stage on June 7 at 7:30 p.m., in an event honoring the rich history of Black music, culture and food in the American South.

Celebrated as our nation’s “second Independence Day,” Juneteenth has long been marked by gatherings filled with music, cookouts, laughter and pride in Black freedom.

This year’s celebration of culture, community and music features live performances by The W’s, beats by DJ Cardi, captivating visual art and more.

The W’s, a dynamic husband-and-wife musical duo, will light up the stage with their soulful, genre-bending sound. Chadwick Watkins brings the groove of soul, funk, and rock while Brittany Starr James-Watkins adds her vibrant soul-pop, nu-disco flair. Together, the W’s deliver reimagined classics and contemporary hits that will keep the energy high and the vibe unforgettable.

For those who arrive early at 6 p.m., they can enjoy a specially curated happy hour menu featuring soul food-inspired bites and libations for guests 21 and over, along with an art exhibition and preshow music to set the tone.

Attendees are invited to dress to impress in your boldest, most stylish look for a chance to win two tickets to the opening night of The Wiz (Oct. 7) in a Best Dressed competition.
