BEAUMONT, Texas — The City of Beaumont will host its annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 14, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Beaumont.
This free, public event unites the community to honor and celebrate the historical significance of Juneteenth through music, cultural performances and family-friendly activities.

Headlining the celebration is R&B funk legend The GAP Band, known for their iconic 1980s hits “Party Train,” “You Dropped a Bomb on Me” and “Burn Rubber.”
Their timeless classic blends of rhythm and blues and funk will have attendees dancing the night away.
The evening will also feature a memorable diverse lineup of local musicians and dance performances, honoring culture and heritage.
“We’re excited to bring this vibrant celebration to Beaumont” city officials say.
Food trucks will line Main Street, offering a wide variety of cuisines for guests.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the festivities located between the Julie Rogers Theatre and the Main Library.
A cooling area will be available for those needing relief from the heat, but guests can not bring tents and canopies.
Guests are also asked to not bring pets or cooking equipment on the ground unless pre-approved by vendors.
