
BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (WNDU) – Benton Harbor is hosting a Juneteenth Celebration this weekend!
This weekend in Benton Harbor the Seventh Annual Juneteenth parade and celebration is taking place.
The parade starts at 1 p.m. on Main Street ending at 6th Street, near City Center Park.
On Saturday, 55 people are taking part in the parade including honorary Captain Jack Hall, the first African American Michigan State Trooper.
After the parade, is the party! The Juneteenth Celebration begins at 2 p.m. and lasts until 6 p.m.
More than 30 vendors and live music will be there, and awards will be given to community advocates.
This event is free to the public and for all ages.
