SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — On June 15 at 10 a.m., the Blackshear Heights Family will host a Juneteenth festival at Martin Luther King Park, celebrating unity, education, and empowerment.

The festival will feature a range of exciting activities designed to engage and inspire youth, including bounce houses, games, water slides, and STEM activities. Attendees can also enjoy a basketball tournament, BBQ cook-off, and various food and water activities.

Leary Ownes, CEO of the Blackshear Heights Family hopes the festival will leave a lasting impact on the community by promoting unity and providing resources to support young people.“We are excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact on our community and look forward to bringing our vision to life,” said Owens.
