
VICTORIA, Texas – The Carver Center Foundation will host its second annual Juneteenth and Founders’ Day Celebration on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Carver Center grounds in Victoria.
The event, themed “Under the Tent,” will feature a full day of community engagement, cultural appreciation, and live entertainment. This free, family-friendly celebration will take place at 2311 ½ Pleasant Green Drive.
Kathy Bell, educator and VISD School Board Trustee, will serve as the keynote speaker, sharing reflections on history, education, and progress in honor of the Juneteenth holiday.
Live music performances will include sets by saxophonist Alonzo Henderson, the band Kool & Together, and Bobby Salazar. Music and entertainment will be hosted throughout the day by DJ AC Hall.
The Juneteenth celebration commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States and highlights the rich cultural contributions of Black communities in Victoria and beyond.
The Carver Center Foundation encourages everyone to attend, celebrate, and learn more about this important chapter in American history.
