SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Mansfield, LA, is set to host its 11th Annual Juneteenth Celebration with exciting events to honor this significant holiday.
The festivities will occur at Mansfield Downtown Square, offering a vibrant mix of music, performances, and community activities. This year, there will even be a parade on Friday, June 21st, and a Community Health Fair on Saturday, June 22nd, to really honor the purpose of this national holiday.
Kids Fest

The celebrations continue with the highly anticipated Slab Holiday Bike and Car Night. This event will feature a live performance by renowned rapper Slim Thug. Additional entertainment includes DJ sets by DJ 9, DJ Mack, 3 Feet, and Big Jun. The night promises a showcase of impressive cars and bikes, creating a dynamic and energetic atmosphere.

Juneteenth Gospel Festival

The celebration continues with the Juneteenth Gospel Festival, dedicated to celebrating the life and legacy of Pastor Julius Marshall. Pastor CJ of Koka will host the festival, featuring live performances from a talented lineup, including Branden Anderson, Jermain Dolly, Isabel Davis, Jay Williamson, Gary Shelton, and Determind.
Apostle Lovie Hunter, Minister Latonya W. Marshall, Pastor Ronnie Morris, Pastor Alisha Taylor, and Bishop Joseph Hall Jr. will make special appearances to enhance the spiritual and communal spirit of the event.
