SOUTH CAROLINA (WTOC) – Cities and towns all across the Lowcountry prepare for Juneteenth celebrations this weekend.
The town of Bluffton is preparing to kick off the town’s Juneteenth celebrations.
Friday, the town is holding the Black Food Truck Friday Festival from about 5:00 to 10:00pm.
This will be followed by the town’s 9th Annual Juneteenth Celebration at 4:00 pm Saturday.
Beaufort is also hosting Juneteenth events.
Saturday, the Penn Center will have activities for children at their event “A Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom.”
It will be from noon to 6:00pm.
Also on Saturday, you can attend The Robert Smalls Men and Women of Action 4th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Day.
There will be cultural performances and community dialogues from 3:00 to 8:00pm.
If you want to check out another event Sunday, Project Freedom 326, will host their Juneteenth Unity Parade.
It will start at 2:00pm.
