
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Charleston is hosting its annual Juneteenth celebration Wednesday in the City Center district.
The free festivities will include a parade, live music and cultural entertainment.
The parade is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be followed by insight from Rev. Ron English. A spotlight for area youth is scheduled for 1:15 p.m.
Event organizers have released a list of live performances:
- 12:30 p.m. – Jordan Dyer Trio
- 3:20 p.m. – 4Chill
- 3:55 p.m. – Capital City Fellowship Choir
- 4:45 p.m. – STRATUS
The celebration will be held at Slack Plaza – located at 169 Summers Street – in downtown Charleston.
