
The city of Columbia is inviting community members interested in applying for grant funding for Juneteenth events, exhibits or educational programs to a workshop on the application process, according to a news release.
The workshop for applicants will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at the Walton Building, located at 300 S. Providence Road.
Residents who are interested in planning an event commemorating Juneteenth in 2025 and who are interested in learning more about grant funding from the city are encouraged to attend, the city said in the release. The workshop will provide an opportunity to ask questions regarding the application process and receive assistance completing it.
According to the news release, the application is now available online at CoMo.gov. The document contains general guidelines and instructions for the application.
Applications may be emailed to JuneteenthGrant@CoMo.gov or hand-delivered or mailed to the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau, 300 S. Providence Road, Columbia, MO 65203. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, according to the news release.
