Juneteenth is recognized as “Freedom Day” in the United States, and on June 19, citizens from across Fayette County gathered on the Old Courthouse lawn to celebrate unity, camaraderie, and community.
Festivities began with a parade along Church Street, including members of Flat Rock Girl Scout Troop 24164 and various members of the Fayette County community.
