FLINT, Mich.—The march was held to celebrate the upcoming Juneteenth holiday.

Throughout the month of June, there has been numerous Juneteenth celebrations in Flint.

A Freedom March was held this morning to kickoff the The Spotlight Event at the Flint Cultural Center.

After the walk, guests were able to receive information from different vendors such as Planned Parenthood, Gloria Coles Flint Public Library and more.

In addition, children were able to receive free books and play in the numerous bounce houses at the event.

The event continues until 4 p.m.
