The Young Professionals of Color- Greater Harrisburg said the parade will take place around the Capitol Complex at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 14.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — For the first time, a Juneteenth Parade is coming to Harrisburg in 2025. 

The Young Professionals of Color- Greater Harrisburg announced that the parade will take place around the Capitol Complex on Saturday, June 14, at 12 p.m. 

The parade will be presented by the City of Harrisburg, Mayor Wanda Williams and Young Professionals of Color. It will include marching bands, dance teams, local organizations, cultural displays and community leaders.

Businesses and community groups are encouraged to participate in the parade. Nonprofit floats are free, and anyone interested in participating can email juneteenthhbg@ypoc-hbg.org. An application can be found here.

The parade is part of Juneteenth HBG, a celebration taking place from June 14-21. According to the Young Professionals of Color’s website, the celebration will also feature a Juneteenth Press Conference and Juneteenth HBG x iHeart: Vibe Check Tailgate on June 16, a Topixx Tuesday and VIP Reception on June 17, a Juneteenth Summit on June 18, a Juneteenth HBG Jubilee on June 19, a Juneteenth Soma Block Party on June 20 and a Juneteenth HBG Concert on June 21.
