HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) — To celebrate Juneteenth, the City of Huber Heights is hosting a music festival on Sunday.

Created by the Huber Heights Culture and Diversity Citizen Action Commission, the third annual Juneteenth Music Festival returns on June 16. The free festival will take place at the Eichelberger Amphitheater from 4 to 9 p.m.

A variety of local music acts will perform all evening, with Gemstone as the headliner. Additional talent will include Ric Sexton and Friends, Luther Suede, Rhonda Sumlin and DJ Oscar.

The festival will also feature food trucks and multiple local businesses to check out.

This is the third year Huber Heights has held a Juneteenth celebration. Juneteenth was officially recognized as a federal holiday in 2021, taking place on June 19 annually.

Parking and admission is free. Eichelberger Amphitheater is located at 8633 Brandt Pike, Dayton.
