This free all-ages event celebrates the Juneteenth holiday by inviting Far South Side communities together for an afternoon of live music, food from local Black-owned restaurants, family activities, a resource vendor fair, and a small business marketplace featuring everything from beauty products to fashion!

35th St. Corridor Juneteenth

11am-5pm

Bronzeville

35th and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive through the Phillip Jackson Parkway

A village themed community event that will highlight youth and adult creative artists as well as local small businesses with a lot of fun and educational activities. The festival will also feature an array of performances, including live musical bands, dance, spoken word, and more, showcasing the talent and diversity of the community.

BMP Juneteenth Family Festival

12-7pm

110th and Longwood

New to the festival this year will be a partnership with My Block My Hood My City, an organization founded and directed by Jahmal Cole. With this new partnership, we seek to prioritize and enhance youth belonging and empowerment. My Block My Hood My City will be sponsoring the youth and family area and will bring their vast expertise working with youth to the forefront. Included in this endeavor will be a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, as we collaborate, to draw attention to #savestreetball, a campaign by My Block My Hood My City to ensure that communities throughout Chicagoland have updated, outdoor basketball courts for our youth and families to utilize.

Juneteenth Village Fest

Common, Domani, and Dead Prez! The festival will also feature rides, games, food vendors, and entertainment from the South Shore Drill Team and the Jesse White Tumblers.
