MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Juneteenth festival in Orange Mound kicked off the weekend with fun and togetherness.
“This is put on by the Orange Mound collaborative,” one organizer boasted as he pointed out the community’s pride and independence.
The festival is an annual event and it was a great way to unify Orange Mound highlight its historic past.
The organizers are hopeful that Juneteenth will always be a time when people in the community come together to honor the rich culture.
