
Summerfest organizers has released some of the plans for Juneteenth Day programming at the 2025 music festival, which starts on June 19.
Following Milwaukee’s traditional Juneteenth Day parade and festival on King Drive, Summerfest will host an opening ceremony at Maier Festival Park with Northcott Neighborhood House, which organizes the Juneteenth parade and festival. The ceremony, starting at 6 p.m., will include performances, remarks from representatives and acknowledgement of the year’s Juneteenth scholarship recipients.
Summerfest also confirmed some of the artists that will perform June 19 as part of the Juneteenth celebration, including: Gary Clark Jr., Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ginuwine, Joy Oladokun and Mike Jones. Performances will take place on several stages on the Summerfest grounds.
Details on additional programming and artists, including local musicians, will be announced in 2025, Summerfest said.
Summerfest 2025 runs June 19-21, June 26-28 and July 3-5.
