There have only been a handful of attempts at Juneteenth events in Mount Airy and it seems with more practice and more attention, more folks were out to enjoy the street party on Market Street than before.
One could hear the party before arriving to Market Street but to see the sea of folks in attendance was more than expected. Of course Market Street was closed to traffic to accommodate folks milling about and enjoying adult beverages in the social district.
