
SHREVEPORT, La. – February is Black History Month and KTBS 3/KPXJ CW 21 continue to salute the contributions of African Americans in labor with the help of Bossier Parish high school students.
Opal Lee, the grandmother of Juneteenth led a movement to make Juneteenth a federal holiday advocating for history, justice and freedom.
Thanks to Zaire Carson, a 12th grader at Airline High School, for shining a light on the contributions of Opal Lee.
