ROUND ROCK, Texas — Police have announced that a second suspect has been arrested in connection to a shooting at a Juneteenth celebration that left two people dead and 14 others injured.

The Round Rock Police Department posted on X, formerly Twitter, stating that a male minor was taken into custody by officers around 8:30 p.m. on Friday. He was taken to the Williamson County Juvenile Justice Center. 

The department’s post also said that officers are investigating additional suspects, and it would release more information as it becomes available. 

This most recent update comes after the department announced at a news conference Thursday morning that officers had arrested a 17-year-old from Manor on charges of second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the shooting. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail. 

The shooting occurred during a Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 15, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. Police said the incident happened during a concert after an altercation between two groups where someone began shooting. 

The two people who were killed were 33-year-old Lyndsey Vicknair, from Manor, and 54-year-old Ara Duke, from Pflugerville. Neither of them were involved in the shooting.
