The Round Rock Police Department said a second suspect is in custody in connection to the mass shooting at a Juneteenth celebration last weekend.

A male juvenile suspect was reportedly taken into custody 8:30 p.m. Friday. He was taken to the Williamson County Juvenile Justice Center.

“The investigation is ongoing, and the Round Rock Police Department continues to investigate additional suspects. More information will be released as it becomes available,” the department said on X.

The shooting happened on June 15 at Old Settler’s Park. Two people were killed and 14 were injured. Lyndsey Vicknair, 33, and Ara Duke, 52, both mothers from the Round Rock area, were killed in the incident.

Ricky Tyrone Thompson III, 17, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The charge against Thompson relates to one of the 14 individuals who were wounded.
