SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The city of South Burlington is getting ready for Juneteenth celebrations.
The events kick off Tuesday with a speaker panel at the library. It’s sponsored by the UVM Health Network and focuses on their hair equity project and oppression through hair discrimination.
Then on Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Park, there will be food, music and highlighting BIPOC businesses.
City leaders say it’s important to celebrate everyone who makes South Burlington special.
“There’s going to be a ton of South Burlington residents whether that be food, music, as well as businesses which will be on display for everyone to come out and enjoy,” said Adam Matth of South Burlington Recreation and Parks.
All the events are free to attend. Click here for more details.
