WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The Spirit of Excellence organized an event to celebrate Juneteenth this year.
Wichita Falls Mayor, Tim Short, spoke at the event saying that it’s important to remember Juneteenth to reconcile and heal the wounds of our past.
We spoke to a Spirit of Excellence member about why they celebrated at the park today.
