REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The West Rehoboth Legacy Committee and West Side New Beginnings, Inc. will host the 2025 West Rehoboth Juneteenth Celebration on Thursday, June 19, from 4 to 9 p.m., to honor the day the last enslaved people in the U.S. were declared free

The free, family-friendly event will take place throughout West Rehoboth, including at the West Side Creative Market and the West Rehoboth Legacy Mural.

U.S. Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester is scheduled to speak at 6:30 p.m. during the evening performances at West Side Creative Market.

Festivities include a vendor market featuring local Black-owned businesses, live music by DJ Blackout, spoken word by Rob West, and food from Poochy’s Fish Fry. Muralist Terrance Vann will exhibit new work at the Artpothecary, with a special artist talk and museum tour set for June 20 at 5 p.m. The artist talk begins at 6:30 p.m.

Proceeds from T-shirt sales, raffles and donations will support West Side New Beginnings’ “Keep the Lights On” campaign, which aims to fund street lighting in the community for one year.
