BATAVIA – The community responded to a local group’s invitation to celebrate Juneteenth in Batavia once again, spending time in Williams Park as the festivities returned again this year.
“It’s getting bigger and better every year,” said Just Kings member Victor Thomas, while local residents sampled the food, waited for the next band to take the stage or visited the vendors’ tables. “This year, we’re up to 20 vendors. I think there’s 10 non-profits here.”
